About Stephen Brow
orn in 1958, Stephen Brow has been a resident of Kelowna, BC for over 30 years. He created his first piece of art at the age of 9 years old, a carving from soapstone titled 'Inspiration'.His love of sculpting was followed in 1979 by a career as a goldsmith and, in 1983, Steve & his wife, Sylvia established Steve's Gold Creation Inc. Since then, Steve has built a strong reputation for producing high quality, custom designed jewelry.
Combined with his unique goldsmithing style, his love of sculpting has enabled him to create truly exquisite 'Handcrafted Jewelry'. Each piece Steve creates, is as unique as the individual it is designed and created for, exhibiting his own unique style in producing a truly 'One of a Kind Creation'. Steve's active participation with many charitable organizations, has enabled him to create some of his most cherished pieces.

History of the Gold Toothpick
ince the Middle Ages, and possibly before, gold toothpicks have been viewed as a perfect gift for the person who has everything. Often they were accessories favored by both nobility and high ranking officials, such as ship's captains, priests and sheriffs. Ancient toothpicks were often in the shape of a sword and might include an ear wax spoon (don't get the ends confused!)Gold Toothpicks enjoyed a resurgence in Victorian England. Fans of the British show The Avengers will remember that Steed inherited a solid gold Victorian toothpick from his Uncle Joe.

Captain James Cook (1728-1779)
This piece was recovered off the El Rubi, sunk of the coast of Florida in 1733, it is a 23 k gold toothpick, recovered by Captain Arthur McKee Jr. It measures 1 3/4" L and 1/4" W.
In 1971 while exploring along the Camino Real near San Juan this gold toothpick was found having washed out from the ruins of an ancient Inn along side of the Camino.
